Wabi Sabi Laneway House. Wabi-sabi the Japanese philosophy that champions the beauty of imperfection was a big influence for Edo. Now taking some of these elements and the feelings they evoke contemporary architects have redefined wabi-sabi within the context of minimal design.

The chefs cook your food right in front of you in a show-style manner. In truth wabi-sabi is around us everywhere and we are often drawn more to imperfection than we are perfection. These ideals and others underpin much of Japanese cultural and aesthetic norms on what is considered tasteful or beautiful.
Our point of beginning was a small one bedroom 1950s house set beside a wide stand of trees.
In Japanese Wabi means an asymmetrical rustic beauty while Sabi is a beauty that will last forever through the years. Old homes have their own unique character and should in our opinion be maintained as much as possible. In interior design this can take the form of a worn-out wall an irregular ceramic cup or a frameless work of art. Our second and last featured project was entitled Wabi-Sabi.
